Slowly Does it
It’s a good job I hadn’t planned on giving any handmade gifts this Christmas. I’ve made absolutely no progress with any of the projects I started this year.
I have still only completed the back of my cardigan, haven’t done any work on any of the cross-stitch kits I had begun and am still only a small way into the scarf I started the other day. The scarf shouldn’t take too long to complete, as it is only a very simple pattern that’s very easy to knit while I’m watching TV.
I think I have sort of come round to the idea of making gifts for people in future. Gift giving is so expensive, particularly as the family is expanding with a nephew on the way, a sister-in-law and her little boy to buy for now! Next year, I think I’ll be adding handmade gifts instead of store bought shopping fillers – although at the rate I knit, I’ll have to start planning now!
